Dr. Ben D. Allison, 77, of Carmel, Indiana died on Feb. 15, 2013 surrounded by his family. Born on Dec. 21, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois, he was the first of three children born to Ben and Darlene Allison. He graduated from York High School in Elmhurst, Illinois in 1953 and from Taylor University (Upland, Ind.) in 1957. He graduated from the University of Illinois Dental School in 1961 before joining U.S. Air Force where he rose to the rank of captain. He practiced dentistry in Elmhurst and was a co-founder of Elmhurst Dental Associates. After retirement, he moved to Carmel, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sharon; and Mary, his beloved wife of 52 years. He is survived by his six children, Nancy (Mike) Worley of Louisville, Ky.; Sharon (Scott) Thiems of Indianapolis, Ind.; Susan (Bob) Bruns of Americus, Ga.; Ben (Ann) Allison of Louisville, Ky.; Maggie Allison of Elmhurst, Ill.; and Liz (Matt) Pusateri of Lombard, Ill. He is the proud grandpa to 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. There will be a celebration of his life for his Indianapolis friends and family on Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at his home. Arrangements made by Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory.

    Please accept ou deepest sympathy for your Dad’s passing. While they lived in. Fountain Hills. Az, we got together for dinner quite often. And thoroughly enjoyed his stories. Our children Don Cyndi. And Rick also extend their sympathy. Our prayers are with you. Sincerely Arlene and Don
